Friday Feature: 11/7/25 - Saraphir Legind
Leaving
Here we go again.
Another changing.
We embrace it with no tears
no fear, no regret.
Every spring we emerge
like templates coming alive
tracing known trails
creating universal patterns
uniting in shaping known archetypes.
If only you could see.
We spend our life playing with the wind
teasing it, tickling it
to its eternal delight
- why else did you think it blows?
It knows each of us intimately
together we all create our own unique song
that changes as we grow.
If only you could hear.
Now, the Earth receives us
in its wide embrace.
It fed us forth
and now we will feed it in turn.
We mutually transform
in endless cycles.
You think we die but
like everything else
we just transcend our form.
If only you could know.

From the Press:
In Leaving, Saraphir Legind captures transformation not as an ending, but as participation. Each shift of life is part of a continuous, breathing pattern. The poem moves between the elements—wind, earth, and human awareness—bridging them with the intimacy of a knowing voice.
There is both reverence and a sense of ease here. Legind's poem is a reminder that change, while inevitable, need not be feared. Her lines feel cyclical, deliberate, and accepting. It is an invitation to witness life as an ongoing conversation instead of a conclusion.
